Raúl Reina Vaillo

Full Professor at the University of Miguel Hernández Elche and research staff member of the Sport Research Centre, as well as Director of the Department of Services for Students with Disabilities at the UMH. He holds a European Master’s Degree in Adapted Physical Activity and Sport from the Catholic University of Leuven (Belgium).

He is an undergraduate lecturer in Physical Activity and Sport Science and also Occupational Therapy, as well as a postgraduate lecturer in Sports Performance and Health. Has also been a lecturer in masters and doctoral programmes at the University of Leuven (Belgium), University of Extremadura, University of Castilla-La Mancha, Polytechnic University of Madrid and the European University of Madrid.

In charge of the Classification for the International Cerebral Palsy Football Federation (IFCPF), a member on the Classification Committee and classifier of the International Boccia Sports Federation (BISFED) and the International Athletics Committee for the International Paralympic Committee, Chairperson of the Classification Commission of the Spanish Paralympic Committee, in charge of the classification for the Spanish Sports Federation for People with Cerebral Palsy and Acquired Brain Injury (FEDPC) and Founding Member of the Spanish Association of Physical Activity and Adapted Sport (AEDAFA).

He is the author of influential publications in the Journal Citation Reports and other journals regarding physical activity and sport; the author of five books, which includes Actividad física y deportes adaptados para personas con discapacidad (2012), the author of book chapters, the speaker and presenter of 161 contributions at national and international conferences.
