The Vodafone and Universia Foundations partners in the Third International Congress University and Disability

Both entities collaborate in the organization of this meeting whose aim is to publicize the experiences and needs of persons with disabilities in university stage

Vodafone Spain Foundation and Universia Foundation have joined ONCE Foundation in its aim to promote the presence of students with disabilities in college. Thus, both entities will collaborate in organizing the Third International Congress "University and Disability" whose aim is to publicize the experiences and needs of persons with disabilities in university stage.

The CEO of ONCE Foundation, José Luis Martínez Donoso, formalized on Friday the cooperation of both entities by signing an agreement with the CEO of the Vodafone Spain Foundation, Santiago Moreno, on one hand, and the general director Universia, Ramón Capdevila, on the other.

As recorded by the document signed by Vodafone Foundation, the collaboration focuses on the development of activities that encourage the use of technologies in the inclusion of persons with disabilities in the university. It also will be responsible for facilitating instruments suitable technological accessibility for the successful development and completion of this III Congress 'University and Disability' and monitored by the international community.

Meanwhile, Universia Foundation's objectives are to promote training, especially the university, persons with disabilities as an instrument to enhance their employability and encourage their participation. As part of this meeting, it plans to promote the experiences of universities in relation to the inclusion of persons with disabilities and the reality of research and innovation in the field of disability maintaining communication, universal accessibility and relationships between institutions such as cross members.

'Third International Congress University and Disability'

It is held in Madrid on November 10th and 11th, 2016 with the main objective to publicize the experiences and needs of persons with disabilities in university stage, with an international vision and from the various areas that affect them, models and practices training and policies that promote inclusion.

It also aims to exchange best practice models and universities around the world to present the latest research and technological networks in the field of disability, especially, and transversely in the field of design for all and universal accessibility.

Finally, intended to serve as a world leader in the exchange of experiences and knowledge that will enable further development and is established as a forum for communication of progress on disability.
