María Jesús Martinez Silvente

Doctoral Degree in History and Art and lecturer at the University of Málaga. Author of several monographs on historical vanguards, such as La mirada cambiante de Ardengo Soffici: Futurism and chronicles on Picasso, Picasso and Cubism in futuristic artistic literature: el
caso de Umberto Boccioni (1909-1916), Francisco Peinado.

Representations and self-representation. Has spent time in Rome, Milan, Palermo and Paris, conducting research on twentieth century art at the Sapienza University of Rome and the Paris-Sorbonne University.

Balances her teaching tasks with her curatorship of contemporary art exhibitions in Spain and Italy, such as that of Chillida. Logos. Espacio de la palabra (2005), Carlos Miranda. Stories from Homes (2012) and Javier Garcerá. Exhale Inhale (2013). Currently Vice-Dean of Culture, Student and Institutional Relations at the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters at the University of Malaga.
