Josep Oriol Martínez Ferrer

Graduated in Medicine and Surgery in 1983 from the Universitat Central de Barcelona. In 1989, qualified to practice in Occupational Health, graduating from the Universitat Central de Barcelona.

Graduate Diploma in Physical Injury Evaluation from the Department of Forensic and Labour Medicine of the Faculty of Medicine of the Universitat Central de Barcelona - Bosch Gimpera Foundation, in 1994.

Graduated cum laude in 2016 as Doctor in Physical Activity and Sport Sciences from the University of Ramon Llull.

Managing Director for General and Functional Classifications for the Ninth Paralympics in Barcelona, 1992.

Medical Officer and Chairperson of the Sports Sciences and Medical Committee of the International Wheelchair & Amputee Sports Federation (IWAS Federation) (all ISMWSF and ISOD), from 1997 to 2013.

Since 2001, he has been a lecturer of Physical Activity and Sport for People with a Disability, at the Blanquerna Faculty, University of Ramón Llull.

A member on the Medical Committee of the International Table Tennis Federation (I.T.T.F.), from 2007 to 2012. In charge of the ITTF TUE Panel Committee.

Chairperson of the Medical Committee of the International Paralympic Committee (I.P.C.), from 2008 to 2014.
