Daniel Guash

Daniel Guash

Graduated with a Doctoral Degree, Doctor Europaeus, from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC) in 2003. He also graduated as an electronics and telecommunications engineer from the UPC. Has held an associate professorship at the Department of Telematics Engineering (ENTEL) since 2001.

Belongs to the Design and Evaluation of Broadband Networks and Services (BAMPLA) research group. Has held the position of academic director of the Accessibility Department at UPC (CATAC) since 2005.

He focuses his transversal research activities in the field of universal accessibility. Has led around forty competitive and non-competitive projects at a national level. About twenty studies on accessibility at the university have been recently published under the framework of the University and Disability Observatory (UDO), which he co-led. The holds national and international patent rights. Has published numerous articles in scientific journals and is co-editor of the international Journal of Accessibility and Design for All (JACCES). He is actively involved on programme committees for several scientific conferences concerning the fields of ICT, Interaction and Accessibility. Furthermore, his endeavours have been recognised with several local and national awards.
