Anabel Moriña

Anabel Moriña

Professor at the Didactics and Education Organisation Department of the University of Seville. Her professional career has been in inclusive education, educational exclusion, teacher training, disability and Higher Education.

She has directed several research projects on Higher Education and Disability, including “Barriers and aid identified by students with disabilities at the University” (Ministry of the Economy and Competitiveness, ref. EDU2010-16264, 2010-2014), “Analysis of Lecture Rooms at Andalusian Universities from a Disabled Student’s Perspective” (Andalusian Regional Council, Excellence Project, ref. P11-SEJ-7255, 2013-2016), “On the Path to Social and Educational Inclusion at the University: Design, Development and Assessment of a Training Programme for Teachers” (Ministry of the Economy and Competitiveness, ref. EDU2013-46303-R, 2013-2017, “Inclusive Pedagogy at the University: Teachers’ Accounts (Ministry of the Economy and Competitiveness, ref. EDU2016-76587-R, 2017-2020).

In recent years she has published different books and articles on people with disabilities studying at University. These include Social and Academic Support Networks for Students with Disabilities contributing to Inclusion in Higher Education (2016), Inclusive Education in Higher Education? (2016), The University Experience of Students with Disabilities through their Life Stories (2016), Hidden Voices in Higher Education: Inclusive Policies and Practices in Social Science and Law Classrooms (2015), We aren’t Heroes, we’re Survivors: Higher Education as an Opportunity for Students with Disabilities to Reinvent an Identity (2015), What if we could Imagine the Ideal Professor?
